Closing the gap between
Business and IT

Using the IT-Canvas

The IT Canvas

We believe that Business and IT can leverage more on each other. Guided by this believe we developed the IT canvas, aiming to integrate the right IT mindset in (innovative) projects. We have validated that asking the right questions at the right time avoids unnecessary delays, identifies previously unknown dependencies and helps team to focus on the most risky assumptions. We believe that Business and IT can leverage more on each other. Why
We believe that when the right IT knowledge is part of your team, you will be able to keep up the required speed and agility to succeed in a high-paced environment, such as Innovation. We want to provide a way to help teams to approach IT affairs in a structured and complete way.
For Whom
For innovation teams and any other team that works on (innovative) projects with an IT component. Facilitators, such as innovation coaches, can use the IT Canvas as a tool to bridge the knowledge gap between team members. For initiative and tech leads it is a valuable communication tool that allows them to set common ground and trigger the mutual understanding of business and IT needs.
How
By splitting IT into 11 different chapters, we facilitate a structured approach to address your IT requirements. For each chapter, we have prepared a set of questions to help you understand what you need and what you should further investigate. Finally, filling up the canvas using post-it sessions in an interactive approach will give you a way to explore and validate your IT assumptions.
